Former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has left Olympique Marseille for Saudi Arabia club Al-Qadsiah.
Marseille and Al-Qadsiah confirmed the transfer on their X handles on Thursday.
Aubameyang was heavily linked to a move to Saudi Arabia on the back of a remarkable debut season with Les Phocéens.
The striker scored 30 goals with the Ligue 1 side in all competitions, proving notably lethal in the Europa League, a competition he became the outright record goalscorer with 31 goals in total. However, Marseille eventually fell to eventual winners Atalanta in the semi-final.
Aubameyang is set to earn €20m per season with his new club and Marseille are set to bank between nine and €10m for the departure of their starting striker.
He is set to be replaced as Marseille’s primary attacking threat by Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood who reportedly underwent his medical today (Thursday) with the Ligue 1 side.
