D’Tigers head coach Alex Nwora has nothing but praise for his wards despite the defeat to Argentina in their second Group B game at the 2019 FIBA Men’s World Cup in China, reports Completesports.com.
Nwora’s team lost 94-81 to the South Americans at the Wuhan Sports Centre, China, on Monday morning (Nigerian time) despite putting up a brave fight in the encounter.
D’Tigers also lost their first game in the competition 82-77 to Russia last Saturday.
Nwora refuses to criticise his players, instead have huge praise for them despite another close defeat in the competition.
“I’m proud of these guys. They fought. We’re still one of the best teams in Africa but we haven’t shown it. We will with time. We still have a lot of work to do,” Nwora told reporters.
The West Africans will take on Korea in their last group game on Wednesday at at the Wuhan Sports Centre.
