Bayelsa Queens technical adviser, Whyte Ogbonda has praised his players for not losing focus at the crucial moment in Wednesday’s 2-1 home win over visiting Naija Ratels.
Adama Nwachukwu gave Naija Ratels the lead in the 71st minute, while the hosts rallied through goals from Dooshima Tarnum and Delight Isaac.
Whyte praised his players for exhibiting determination in the game.
“We planned for them and we were just focused on the three points and we are thrilled we got it. It was a very good and exciting game from both sides,” he told the club’s media.

The gaffer stated that his team will continue to work hard to achieve their objective.
“We have a lot of young players in the team. Some of them just got their topflight breakthrough,” he added.
“We didn’t lose focus at the time we were down by a lone goal and I am happy by the quick response of my girls. We continued to do the same thing we have been doing and taking the game to them.”
Next for Bayelsa Queens is an away fixture against FC Robo Queens of Lagos.
