Nwaneri wss the standout performer for an Arsenal side ravaged by injuries mostly to their forward players.
But the 17-year-old proved why Mikel Arteta has so much confidence in him.
The Gunners academy product capped a wonderful performance by providing the assist for Mikel Merino to open the scoring on 81 minutes.
Nwaneri beat off competition from two-goal hero Merino, Gabriel Magalhaes and Declan Rice to land the award.
He polled 56 percent of the votes to finish first, Merino got 42 percent while Rice and Gabriel had two and one votes respectively.
The win against Leicester means Arsenal are just four points off leaders Liverpool on the log.
