Kelechi Nwakali has been named Barnsley’s Player of the Month for January, Completesports.com reports.
Nwakali made three league appearances for the English League One club during the month.
“Congratulations to Kelechi Nwakali for being named @CopierSystems January Player of the Month ,” the club wrote on X.

Completesports.com recalls, the 26-year-old won Barnsley’s Goal of the Month award for December.
The midfielder has scored once in 13 league appearances for Darrel Clarke’s side this season.
The Nigerian joined the Reds from Portuguese club Chaves last summer.
After initially struggling for game time, he has become a regular since the turn of the year.
