It was Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side second home defeat of the season.
New signing Ismail Sarki put Niger Tornadoes ahead after 17 minutes, while Collins Ugwueze equalised for Rangers four minutes later.

Ifeanyi Okechukwu scored the winning goal for Tornadoes 26 minutes from time.
Chiedozie Okorie missed the chance to equalise for the hosts in stoppage time after missing from the penalty spot.
Nasarawa United boosted their survival hopes with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Katsina United at the Lafia City Stadium.
Qamar Adegoke scored the winning goal four minutes after the half hour mark.
At the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Sunshine Stars defeated Ikorodu City 4-3 in the South West derby.
Alao Danlami bagged a brace for Sunshine Stars, with Peter Awosanmi and Ahmadu Liman scoring the other goals.
Shola Adelani also scored a brace for Ikorodu City, while Emmanuel Solomon was also on target for the visitors.
