The victory ended a run of four games without a win for the former Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions.
Captain Nyima Nwagua gave the home team the lead in the 15th minute.
Ekerette Udom doubled the advantage five minutes later.

Niger Tonardoes fought back with Clinton Jeptha reducing the deficit on the hour mark.
Rivers United regained their two goal lead through Abubakar Adams two minutes later.
Bashir Usman ensure a nervy end to the game by halving the deficit 13 minutes from the end.
Rivers United moved to ninth position on the table following the win, while Tornadoes remain in 12th position.
