NPFL: Remo Stars, Niger Tornadoes Win Away

Remo Stars reclaimed top spot in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) following a 2-0 win at Kano Pillars on Sunday.

Sodiq Ismail opened scoring for Remo Stars in the 26th minute,while Frank Mawuena added the second on the hour mark.

Remo Stars top the standings with nine points from three games.

At the New Jos Stadium, Niger Tornadoes defeated their hosts Plateau United 2-1.

Niger Tornadoes led 2-0 through goals from Ifeanyi Okechukwu and Kufre Ebong,while Pam Samuel reduced the deficit for the home team.

In Owerri, Heartland were held to a 0-0 draw by Katsina United.

Emmanuel Amuneke’s Heartland are still winless after three games.

Kwara United and Ikorodu City battled to a thrilling 0-0 draw in Ilorin.
