Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has signed a new three-year contract at the club.
Ogunmodede guided the Sky Blue Stars to second position for the second consecutive season in the Nigeria Premier Football League last term.
“Saying I am glad is an understatement for me. This is my club, my project. I’ve been here for years now, doing my thing and working relentlessly hard with a consistent behavioural pattern,” he told npfl.ng.
“The good thing is I am happy that the club is able to see what I’ve done so far to have count me worthy to have another (contract) extension. It is a big motivation for me to know that they appreciate what I’ve done so far.
Ogunmodede joined the senior team set up at Remo Stars in 2016 as assistant head coach and in 2021 worked as an assistant coach at Portuguese side Feirense before returning to Nigeria in 2022 to assume the role of head coach of the NPFL club.
Remo Stars will host Morocco’s AS FAR in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round clash in Ikenne on Sunday.
