“Enyimba is one team I have so much respect for. They are the biggest team in Nigeria and today, they gave us a difficult match. I’m grateful to Allah for this”.

He responded to claims by Enyimba officials that after taking the lead during the first half stoppage time, El-Kanemi Warriors players returned for the second period deploying all manner of antics, including time wasting.

Enyimba also claimed that the additional time given by the referee after the second half did not tally with the home team’s delay tactics and the fact that both teams had their maximum five substitutions respectively.

“El-Kanemi Warriors is a team that sticks to its game plan. We always love playing, without resorting to antics like time wasting. If any player went down, it means he must have felt some pains, I mean, an element of injury”, the coach explained.

He appreciated the huge return of spectators to the stadium Stadium stands, saying it was a clear sign that peace has returned to the North East State.

“That clearly shows there’s now peace in the North, especially Maiduguri. We want our fan back and fully behind us. We enjoy their support”, Coach Muniru harped.
