Former Super Eagles forward Daniel Amoakachi has been appointed new technical adviser of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) outfit Lobi Stars.
Lobi Stars announced the sacking of former handler of the team Eugene Agagbe on Sunday.
Saturday’s 1-0 home victory against Shooting Stars was Agagbe’s last game in charge of the Makurdi club.

Agagbe was appointed technical adviser of the team last season after Mohammed Babaganaru was relieved of his duties.
Lobi Stars have endured a poor start to the 2024/25 season, recording one win, one draw and three defeats from their opening five games.
Additionally, the remaining backroom staff were also sacked and instructed to reapply if they wish to continue with the club.
Amoakachi is expected to take charge of the team with immediate effect.

Amokachi – Lobi Stars
Finidi – Rivers United
Amunike – Heartland
Somehow, I think this is good. I expect Bayelsa United to start thinking of employing Siasia, too.
They should all prove their mettle in the NPFL and help develop the league so we can properly assess their readiness for an U20, U23, or SE job in the future.
Hahahahaha….they are now beginning to listen to the common sense I’ve been giving to them for years free of charge.
Young coaches like Ilechukwu, Yema, Boboye and Ogunmodede are already pilling up page after page on their CVs, while entitled folks sit down in their parlours, waiting for every current SE coach to be sacked while waving empty CVs at the NFF as evidence of their capability to handle the most valuable football team in Africa.
There is no rule anywhere in football that states that a coaching career must start and end with coaching only your national team.
That ex-international 94 set card is now stale…it doesn’t sell anymore. No more free passes to national team jobs anymore….LMAOooo.
It remains the one on Twitter. His State club Warri Wolves needs him now more than ever.
They all should get jobs and prove themselves capable of coaching senior football teams…..not just because they want to coach the SE but because there are ALhaly, Sundowns, Esperance, TP Mazember and other massive clubs and National teams to coach in Africa and beyond, as well as trophies like the CAF CL, CAF CC, African football league, CHAN and AFCON to win at least on the African continent.
