Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club Abia Warriors have announced the appointment of Imama Amapakabo as their head coach.
Amapakabo will be managing Abia Warriors for the second time following his reign in 2020.
The 54-year-old will take over from Bethel Oji, who led the team to the final of the President Federation Cup last season.
“We are excited to welcome back Imama Amapakabo on a two-year deal as the new coach,” the Umuahia club announced.
“Show the Gaffer some love and get ready for an amazing journey together again.”

The former Super Eagles assistant coach is determined to make his stay at the club a success.
“First of all I can assure that you will definitely enjoy good football with me, that I can guarantee” Amapakabo stated during his unveiling ceremony.
“We will have a team that will play result oriented football.
“At the end of the day,we will be able to achieve good results, playing on the continent and also able to win laurels.”
The tactician previously managed El-Kanemi Warriors and Rangers in the NPFL.
He masterminded Rangers’ title success in the 2016 season.
