Finidi George has played down Rivers United’s win at the Lafia City Stadium on Saturday, reports Completesports.com.
Rivers United defeated Lobi Stars 1-0 in the keenly contested encounter.
Kabiru Abdullahi’s second half goal separated both teams on the night.
The Port Harcourt club secured top spot on the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table following the win.

Finidi stated that there is nothing important in the victory.
“Every victory, we will take it. It’s just a game. This is nothing. We have to go back and prepare for the next game. That’s the philosophy,” the former international winger said after the game
Finidi will be up against his former club Enyimba in the next game.
The gaffer is expecting a difficult duel against the nine-time NPFL champions.
“We are playing against Enyimba, and it’s going to be a difficult game. We just have to enjoy this victory. It’s not easy to come here and pick three points. I must commend the boys for the effort,” he added.
