Enyimba have been charged by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for breaching its framework and rules.
The nine-time NPFL champions committed the offence during their matchday nine encounter against Ikorodu City at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba on Sunday.
The Aba club were charged for publishing disparaging comments against match officials on their social media handle (X, formerly known as Twitter). The published comments by the People’s Elephant is capable of bringing the game to disrepute.

Enyimba have been fined N1 million for misconduct capable of bringing the game to disrepute.
The club have also been warned to desist from similar act in future & advised to use appropriate channels to make their complaints as a recurrence will lead to stiffer sanctions.
Enyimba have the rights to appeal to the sanctions within 48 hours of the date of notice.
