Daga will surely a most wanted soon both for clubs and country. He is good quality.
I agree with you on this one Glory. If Daga remains in Eyimba for another season, he will be a quality addition to the Home based Eagles efforts to qualify for the 2014 Chan.
I just pray he doesn’t rush to go to North Africa, South Africa or a backwater European league. He needs to wait for the right offer for his next career move.
The lad is good.
*Chan 2024*
Very true @ Deo. I just pray he takes that advice of not rushing to go foreign however that foreign might be. I have be paying close watch on him and can emphatically say, that he will soon be a main stay in the mainstream SE,praying he stays injury free.
Thanks Glory, yes that’s the key prayer for him to stay fit. He has a bright immediate future in front of him.
LET US BE SINCERE NO MATTER HOW GOOD THIS GUY IS , DO YOU EXPECT MADRID OR BARCELONA , EVEN AVERAGE TEAM IN ENGLAND , SPAIN, HOLLAND, GERMANY OR PORTUGAL CAN PLAY HIM IN THERI FIRST TEAM. IF ANY OF THESE TEAMS BUYS HIM HE WOULD BE LOAN OUT TO PROBABLY BELGIUM. OUR LOCAL LEAGUE PLAYERS DONT HAVE THE READY MADE QUALITY TO PLAY IN TOP CLUBS FOR NOW. BONIFACE THAT WE ALL SEE AS THE FACE OF NIGERIAN PLAYERS TODAY STARTED IN EITHER NORWAY OR ONE OBSCURE LEAGUE.
MY ADVISE FOR HIM IS IF THERE IS OFFER FROM BELGIUM, SWEDEN, TURKEY, NORWAY, SWITZERLAND, RUSSIA. LET HIM GO THERE TO DEVELOP HIMSELF VERY WELL AND BEFORE WE ALL KNOW IT BIG CLUBS WOULD COME CALLING. HE SHOULDN’T GO TO NORTH AFRICAN .
ANOTHER WAY TO EXPOSE THE GUY IS IF THE COACH GIVES HIM REGULAR SHORT PLAY IN EAGLES, THIS CAN MAKE MID TABLE CLUBS IN ENGLAND , SPAIN ,ITALY, GERMANY CAN BUY HIM. BUT WE ALL KNOW EAGLES DONT OPERATE LIKE THAT
The saying that “no one can ride on your back unless you’re bent over” repeatedly finds validation in the inferiority complex of so many Nigerians/Africans…smh
No be inferiority complex na plain stupidity dey Naijirians sometimes
Brodaman @ reciprocal, in life there is the element of exception. This guy looks pretty much an exception to that whole idea.
A solid performance with Enyimba as well as in next year CHAN, combined with some rare qualities in terms of physique, toughness, etc that he possesses can get him into some top league clubs. This I can assure you.
Why does it take Nigeria a whole lot of time to blood young talented players into the Super Eagles, even in positions where we obviously lack enough personnel? It baffles me a lot. Apart slowing down these players’ international progress, we also allow a good number of them to waste away until they drop out of relevance. For those with superb and extraordinary performance youth level, we simply don’t need to wait until they “blow” or secure big club contract n Europe before inviting them. The other day, I saw the rave review Ogbelu recieved in AFL for Esperence and now Dagabhas been very consistent with Enyimba this season. I understand Nnadi isn’t doing badly either, not forgetting that fantastic defender too, Ogwuche and the goalkeeper, Anigboso. Why can’t we just invite one or two them for friendly matches like the ones we played recently, to see what they can do? Julius Aghahowa was in Nigeria’s 1999 U-20 team. A year later, he shone like a million stars at the AFCON. In fact, the guy helped us in no small way. His early exposure accelerated his career growth so much so that at a point, he was about the best striker we had in Europe, feared by many teams. Kanu literally walked into The Super Eagles after the U-17 championship in Japan. I remember the guy in Afro-Asian Cup in 1995 against Uzbekistan, just two years after being crowned the world champion. I’m not sure a single member of the U-17 and U-20 teams down from 2017 to this time is in the SEs. I stand to corrected, though. And it’s not as if we don’t have anyone who can move up the ladder; we just failed to give them a chance! Amoo was invited at a point, but never played for the SEs until the guy moved from grace to grass. It’s such a shame, to be honest. Daga and that Ogbelu could just be the answer to our midfield problem. There’s this Eletu and maybe Akinsanmiro that could be tested too. We need quality addition in the department and we should spare no chance in bringing these youngsters in to see what they can do.
Having square peg in a round hole was the bane of Nigeria problem. If only we qualify for the next Olympics, then these guys would have been the bedrock of that team but we play politics by appointing a stomach infrastructure as the coach.
This boy should be blooded into the SE now that he is at his peak.
Let no one be deceived that this boy is 16 years of age. Or else we will wait in vain for him to “mature enough” for the SE like we waited for Rabiu Ibrahim.
For the umpteenth time, this boy should be blooded into the SE as from yesterday.
Another nonsense and mad comment from an deluded fool. Abi you go come here and tell us you have his original bad certificate. Bad belle old fool
Peseiro must summon this sensational player to Super Eagles squad in upcoming fixtures versus Lesotho and Zimbabwe; SE U 20 players can get into SE squad just like Ogwuechi, Aniagbosso.
We also don’t need newspaper commentaries to invite a player to the Super Eagles. If compmetesports had not reported then nobody would have craved for his inclusion?
What are the local coaches doing in this regard concerning exciting talents in the league?
They are corrupt and will never do the right thing. Our commentaries can be a form of check on their greediness and excesses in terms of public opinion
