Nigeria’s most glamorous and successful club, Enyimba, have once again blazed a trail by launching an initiative to bring families to the stadium on home match days, Completesports.com reports.
Branded as ‘Game Day, Now Family Fun Day,’ the initiative allows a family of four—father, mother, and two children—to gain entry to the Enyimba International Stadium Aba on home match days with a single ticket costing N5000.
This ticket grants the family access to a package that includes an Enyimba replica jersey, food, and other items.
To support this initiative, Completesports.com checks have revealed that the People’s Elephant, two-time CAF Champions League winners, have secured partnerships with two eateries: Crunchies Fried Chicken and Roots Restaurants & Café.
“We want to do it the way it’s done in Europe. It’s always a lovely sight seeing kids with their families enjoying the games. It’s really fun, and you know football is all about passion,” remarked Ifeanyi Ekwueme, former Nigeria international and Enyimba FC Sporting Director.
“For just N5000, a family can come to the stadium, enjoy the game, and still walk away with our replica jerseys and more.”
“We have an understanding with Crunchies Fried Chicken and Roots Restaurants & Café, where fans can purchase tickets for ‘Game Day, Now Family Fun Day,'” Ekwueme explained.
Enyimba, currently third on the table with 18 points, will host league leaders Remo Stars, who have 21 points, in a Match Day 11 fixture in Aba on Sunday.
