El-kanemi Warriors head coach Aliyu Zubairu has expressed satisfaction with his team’s victory over Nasarawa United.
The Maiduguri club defeated Kabiru Dogo’s side 1-0 at the El-kanemi Stadium on Saturday.
Al Amin Umar netted the winning goal three minutes before the half hour mark.
Zubairu acknowledged the team’s effort, while emphasising the need for improvement.
“It was a must-win match, but we still have work to do. We will make some tactical and technical adjustments to strengthen our game as we move forward,” he told the club’s media.
El-Kanemi Warriors climbed to fourth position on the league table following the win.
They will travel to Kano for a midweek clash against Kano Pillars in midweek.
