Enyimba forward Ekene Awazie is optimistic the People’s Elephant can get a positive result against Bayelsa United.
The nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions will be up against Bayelsa United in a matchday 10 fixture at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa on Sunday.
Yemi Olanrewaju’s side defeated Ikorodu City in Aba last weekend and another win will see them stay within touching distance of the top two sides ahead of them on the log.
Enyimba are four points off leaders Rivers United.
“We know it won’t be easy playing against Bayelsa United away from home, but we are ready for the challenge,” Awazie told NPFL media.
“We have been working hard in training, and we are determined to get a positive result in Yenagoa. We respect Bayelsa United, but we are confident in our ability to play good football and win the game.”
