Daniel Amokachi has expressed disappointment with the result of Lobi Stars’ matchday 13 encounter against Kano Pillars.
The Makurdi outfit were held to a 2-2 draw by the Sai Masu Gida in the keenly contested encounter.
Lobi Stars led 2-0 courtesy of two first half goals from Liman Amadou and ossy Martins.
Usman Abdallah’s Pillars however scored two goals after the break through Rabiu Ali and Mustapha Umar to earn a share of the spoils.
Amokachi said it was unfortunate they couldn’t protect their lead in the game.
” The result is disappointing; we were two goals up, and we failed to hold on, which would have made the difference, but we threw them away; it’s sad,” Amokachi told Lobi Stars media.
Lobi Stars are currently hovering around the relegation zone, having amassed 13 points from 13 games.
They will travel to Enugu to face holders Rangers in their next game.
