Brentford manager Thomas Frank has warned his players to be wary of “very good striker” Awoniyi.
The Bees will face Steve Cooper’s side at the City Ground on Sunday.
Awoniyi has enjoyed a perfect start to the 2023/24 campaign.
The Nigeria international has scored three goals and provided two assists in six Premier League appearances for the Tricky Trees this season.
Frank named the Nigerian among the players that could trouble his side in the game.

“Awoniyi is a very good striker and Gibbs-White is a very good number 10. We all know Hudson-Odoi’s talent and Elanga is a very good winger,”he told the club’s official website.
” That front four is very good. They will try to control the game but we also know that the four of them are very good on the break.”
Nottingham Forest are expected to parade another Nigerian Ola Aina in the game.
The versatile defender has featured in all of Forest’s six league games this season.
The Tricky Trees are without a win in their last two Premier League outings.
