Preston North End have accepted an offer from an unnamed Premier League club for reported Norwich City target Callum Robinson.
The Lilywhites were reluctant to sell their prized asset this summer but have ultimately accepted an offer that has now come in.
It is not known if Norwich are the club in question just yet, but reports last month linked them with a £6million bid for the Republic of Ireland international, who bagged 12 goals in 27 appearances last season for Alex Neil’s men.
Daniel Farke is a big fan of the player and is keen to bolster his attack with only Teemu Pukki and new signing Josip Drmic the recognised senior strikers at Carrow Road.
Robinson, who also operates out wide, has been capped eight times by his country despite playing for England at youth level.
In a statement, Preston said: “Preston North End can confirm they have accepted a bid from a Premier League club for forward Callum Robinson.
“The player has been given permission to leave the team’s Irish training camp in order to discuss personal terms and undertake a medical ahead of a proposed move.
“There will be no further comment from the club at this time.”
