Napoli manager Antonio Conte has said there no way for Victor Osimhen to be reinstated back to his squad.
The Partenopei on Saturday announced Osimhen has been excluded from their squad for the season.
The Nigeria international was also stripped of his number nine jersey.
“Reinstatements? This is the squad,” Conte said after his side’s win over Parma.
“I talked about cohesion. Cohesion is the basis of respecting the rules, those who don’t respect them are not part of the group.

“Hats off to the club, the president has shown coherence in the face of a significant economic loss.”
The former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur coach spoke specifically on Osimhen.
“I am sorry for Osimhen, it’s a shame,” he said.
“I am sorry for the club that didnand ’t cash in.
“I am sorry for myself because we didn’t complete (the transfer window) as I would like.
“However, the club were consistent in this situation, I praise this.”

A bunch of he said she said. A lot of people will stick up for osimhen, but ive never seen such altercations from a se player. He started it when he ran his mouth, disrespecting his employer saying he wants to play for premier league while winning a trophy under napoli. Very unprofessional. And then it went downhill from there. From the coconut vid and everything else. He is being humbled.
A lot of people here will stick up for osimhen because they are biased. A certain audience love him expressing his love for premier league so public. He wouldt even be in this position if it wasn’t for napoli. The truth is he was not a priority for chelsea. He was only a priority to obi mikel and drogba. Chelsea signed other attacking players before they got to osimhen. Osimhen who one serie a with napoli offered a loan. These former african players will ruin you, they are only self serving. Chelsea only wanted to sign osimhen because of former african players influence
He wanted to go to chelsea, but they got no money. Saudi had the money for osimhen but he didnt want to go there. People say de laurentis is bad. He only bad because of how he treated osimhen to the osimhen fans. He is a business man, take feelings aside. Osimhen can just run out his contract and leave for free. But he is now benched for expressing his desire to leave and not sealing a deal, it will make things awkward. His stock will now fall. If you think he won, probably. But he is no longer a starting player now. Gareth bale was benched at madrid under zidane and james rodriguez too. And nobody wanted to sign them. Ozil was benched under arteta. With little playing time, how will he secure a top move. But the way chelsea signing players who are average and have poor performances like jaoa felix, maybe
He resigned earlier this year with a $130 mil buyout, he did this to himself
You can’t win a battle against your own country unless they choose not to fight back.
Reflecting on Taribo West’s interview on Brila radio, where he shared how his actions at Inter Milan ultimately cost him a chance to sign with Arsenal FC, I can’t help but feel a sense of concern for Victor Osimhen and his football career, especially considering the similarities in their situations within the Italian league.
According to reports from last season, Osimhen deleted all of Napoli’s pictures, logos, and videos from his Instagram account after the club posted a mocking video about him. This incident came amid ongoing tensions between him and Napoli. In the aftermath, the media was flooded with news about his harsh criticisms of national team coach Finidi George, where he used unprintable words in a live Instagram video. These actions sparked widespread reactions.
Given this background, and drawing parallels to Taribo West’s experiences, it’s understandable why a club like Chelsea, which has struggled with form over the past few seasons, would be hesitant to sign a player with Osimhen’s temperament. Even when Napoli lowered his release clause, top teams like PSG still couldn’t meet his valuation. Meanwhile, during the same period, Julian Alvarez, with limited game time at Manchester City, was signed by Atletico Madrid for a hefty €83 million.
At this point, I hope that other young Nigerian players can learn from this situation. When it comes to the managers and clubs in Western Europe, you can’t win a battle against them. It’s crucial to maintain professionalism and composure in your career.
If oshimen were to be a white man ..I guess all this wil not be a criteria.
Remember siasia’s ban .. .if siasia is a white man he wil be a free man long ago and fifa wil pay for damages.
We asked who kill abiola. We forgot abiola was fighting the white for something. We forgot now . I won’t be the one to tell u who thief King’s goat in the yard .
Balloon dor for black man . Ok o . Now he is even without a jersey not to talk of bench .
1$ = 1700 meaning one America man is equal 1700 people here . I was told one naira was 0.78$ before when emilokan go American.
Even now 16 years can’t go university again.
Wen in 1989 school fee plus boarding feeding was 300 naira.
Imagine Benin republic not afraid to come Uyo to best eagles .
Even Comoros club came saw and almost did wat dey needed with rangers .
Oluruagbawaooo from aso Villa
Unfortunately, Taribo West and Victor Osimhen are blacks. Samson Siasia is not white.
Unfortunately over the years, we have had to play our professional football in western Europe to gain relevance and make a name.
Victor Osimhen won African football of the year award on the strength of his achievements with Napoli, not even from international games. And quite unfortunately, we don’t even have a national league to be proud of.
In order words, as a people, nation, we become who/ what we are because of their creativity ( White’s ingenuity): our automobiles, clothings, …..
Even our economic policies are dictated by the West.
This bit we have to bear in mind before we start throwing shades back at them.
Thank you Fidel for this.
@Fidel, let’s be realistic here and not turn this into a race thing. Alvarez played 32 matches for Man City last season. He scored 11 goals and had 9 assists. To call that “limited game time” is ridiculous. In the last 2 seasons he has won the world cup, Copa America, 2 league titles, a league cup and a champs league title. With that he’d have beaten Osimhen to the APOTY title if he was an African. Very few teams will pay over 70 million pounds for a player these days. Even Real Madrid had to allow time to pass to sign up Mbappe after several months of chasing his signature. Osimhen will come good after this episode. Thank you.
36 matches, not 32.
“Economic Loss”…..LMAOoo
That exactly is the word….LMAOoo
And that is why they have chosen to take out their frustrations on Victor.
Napoli is already nealry 140m in the red…LMAOoo Please, request for 130m again during Janaury transfer window ehn…..LMAOoo. Let greed ruin you finally.
I don’t know how many clubs they’ve seen splashing such humongous amounts on a player in this era of FFP in European football.
The 10th position you finished last season will be like a trophy compared to how this season will go.
I don’t care what you choose to do or say about Victor…..just make sure his 250k plus gets deposited in his bank account by close of work every Fridays.
What a time to be alive…!!!
I truly support you on this one Dr Drey. If Napoli like let them increase the transfer fee for Victor Osimhen to 200 million Pounds, that does not concern Victor as long as they deposit his cool 250k into his account at the close of work every Friday. We are Nigerians,we no dey carry last. We shall see who blinks first. But I assure you, Napoli will surely be the biggest losers it is either they reinstate Victor Osimhen back into the team or allow his contract with them to run out while still paying Victor every Penny that belong to him. Our Nigerian and African footballers, should learn how to package themselves very well, dont accept peanuts and SHIT contract just because you want to please this white men who dont give a damn about you. Big Victor Osimhen abeg carry go joor Baba God dey your side. Wether you play or remain inactive for a whole season does not concern any body. Let Napoli realise that you are a Naija guys proper.
‘Our Nigerian and African footballers should learn how to package themselves very well, dont accept peanuts and SHIT contract ….’
That’s the phrase right there @Caius
Packaging yourself excellently. Be classy in style and much more, the mind. Know your worth and stick to it. NEVER undermine your worth. Only compromise when conditions are favourable. This is not stubborness. This is wisdom. This is holding up to your convinction.
Mistakes were made but we learn and move on.
I am glad most are rallying around Osimhen, and that we should. No matter what, Osimhen is ours. He has always been loyal and dedicated to this country. He fought for us on the pitch. This is the time we fight with/for him.
ıt shall be well.
Like he told you he want to come back before, eat ur Napoli now, you and ur greedy and yeye owner.
