Nigeria’s third-tier football league, the Nationwide League One (NLO), has announced a five-year partnership deal with tech firm, Afriskaut.
This was disclosed in a press statement released by the NLO’s media department, revealing that the sponsorship agreement was finalised with Afriskaut executives and the NLO led by Chief Operating Officer, Olushola Ogunnowo.

Highlighting the significance of the partnership, Ogunnowo said it is a testament to the league’s management commitment to improving the league’s standards.
“It’s also a step towards scientific scouting with AI technology aimed at helping teams expose their players to the international market,” he said.
“With the sponsorship, the NLO Cup will become one of the most prestigious sporting events, showcasing our best talents to top clubs in Europe and, of course, a global audience.”
He added that this collaboration is a significant step toward raising the visibility and credibility of Nigerian football, with the NLO Cup set to become a premier event that reflects the highest standards of youth football excellence.
