Nigerian youngster, Akinkunmi Amoo, is in line to make his competitive debut for Hammarby on Thursday in the club’s Swedish league outing against IFK Norrköping.
Amoo who completed a move to Hammarby on June 8 arrived in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden on Sunday and the youngster resumed training with the rest of his team-mates.
According to fotbolldirekt.se, “Hammarby’s new acquisition, Akinkunmi Amoo can make his debut in the Allsvenskan. The Nigerian is present in Hammarby’s squad against IFK Norrköping.
“Hammarby has released its match squad for Thursday’s meeting with Norrköping. Akinkunmi Amoo signed for Bajen in June but the club has had to wait for the Nigerian talent.
“Now he is in place and with the squad,” fotbolldirekt.se wrote of the Nigerian Youngster.
Amoo teamed up with the Swedish elite division side, Hammarby on a four-year-deal from Nigeria’s Sidos FC.
The midfielder who clocked 18-years-old also in June will continue his progression with the Stockholm based outfit which is partly owned by the legendary Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Amoo was part of Manu Garba’s U-17 squad for the 2019 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria exited in the Round of 16 after a 3-1 defeat to the Netherlands.
