Young Nigerian striker Ibrahim Umar is on the verge of joining Chelsea after very positive trial with the Academy.
This was revealed by Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his X handle on Friday.
According to Romano, Chelsea are closing in on deal with Ojodu City Academy in Nigeria to decide whether they want to loan Umar to Strasbourg or sign him for Chelsea.
The Blues brought in the 18-year-old striker for a two-week trial period.

He started the interest of many clubs in Europe after scoring 10 goals in six matches at the 74th edition of the Viareggio Cup in Italy last month.
After the tournament, Umar travelled to Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt for trial and to eventually sign for the club.
However, a last-minute approach from Chelsea convinced the player to change his mind.
Romano revealed that Umar chose Chelsea despite a transfer agreement between Ojudu City Academy and Bodø/Glimt to buy the player.
