Nigerian forward Chukwudi Igbokwe has joined Portuguese topflight club Rio Ave as a free agent.
The Portuguese outfit announced the signing on their website.
“Rio Ave Futebol Clube – Futebol, SAD reached an agreement with Chukwudi Igbokwe to sign a contract valid until June 2026.

“The 22-year-old Nigerian forward trained this Wednesday under coach Luís Freire, at the Rio Ave FC Stadium.
“Last season, Chukwudi played for KAA Gent in Belgium.
“While playing for his country, he played for the Nigeria U-23 team.”
Igbokwe featured for KAA Gent B team in the 2022/23 league season and scored 12 goals in 31 games.
In the 2023/24 league campaign, he only managed four goals in 22 appearances for Gent.
