A very fine line up. I would have loved to see Iheanacho again in the starting 11 going by what he did against STP, but we need to see more of Boniface too, since this is just a friendly match. I wish the team a successful outing in Faro.

I think we have seen enough of ebueih and chukwueze, they don’t deserve to be in this squad, especially ebueih. We should have scored atleast 3 solid goals. We need Iheanacho and Osayi to come-in to the right flank.
Chukwueze and Lookman are 2 of the most USELESS “players” ever to don the SE shirt!
None of these 2 should ever play for us again – they are just not good enough, imagine the 4 open goals these two waste of spaces squandered??

These Super eagles players are very wasteful in front of the goal. Unbelievable the amount of chances wasted in the first half against Saudi Arabia by Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze in particular. Uzoho also saved Nigeria’s blushes with a fantastic save midway in the first half. Tyrone Ebuehi has not been particularly convincing either, and I think Nigeria will need a better player in that position instead of Tyrone Ebuehi. Thanks

The Super Eagles have wasted goal-scoring opportunities in the first half against Sadi Arabia. The biggest culprits in this regard were Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze. Goaltender Uzoho made a fantastic save midway in the first half to save Nigeria’s blushes. Also, not a very convincing performance by Tyronne Ebuehi at right back. He needs to improve or Nigeria will need to get better players for that position. Overall, the team needs to improve their conversion rate of scoring chances.

We don’t have a team but a bunch of players that just want to come and take money from Nigeria. They are selfish and not ready to take eagles to the next level. Chukwu and Ademola are both lazy and uninspiring. We don’t have midfield, and our defenders are jittery . OSI must have been frustrated by the poor performance of himself and the players that he intentionally substituted himself. Then the coach is fooling himself to think he wants to win the nation cup with all these attacking football. If we meet an organized team i bet it we will struggle throughout the match.

Nigeria still don’t know how to kill a game… First Half we did nothing. I do not know if it’s just Peseiro’s lethargic tactics or a team that can’t do a clean job? We should have at least won the game… Aribo had to commit a needless foul in a dangerous area! I even think he, Aribo, has nothing else to offer that team… maybe replacing him with Fisayo Dele-Bashiru should even be the discussion now.

It appears Uzoho has problems with long-range shots and set pieces. The second Saudi goal in injury time would not have entered if the Nigerian defensive wall had been better organized. This reminds me of Riyad Mahrez’s goal against Nigeria two nations cups ago.

We conceded a last minute equalizer. Osayi Samuel did better than Ebuehi. I think that side is between Osayi and Aina. Ebuehi is not what we need for physical AFCON football. Chukwueze should never start an important match for us again. Osimhen struggles against team that marks him tightly and doesn’t give him enough space to wreck havoc.
Our midfield need work. We look lost at times and it’s seems we leave too much space in the middle. A good team will exploit us in that midfield. My concern about a reliable goalkeeper rears its head again today. Uzoho has no reason not to punch that ball away from his goal. I understand the second goal it was a deflection, but that first goal is unacceptable. We have issues at goalkeeping period. Let’s hope they continue to gel in the next game and subsequent matches.
I think the biggest issue with the SE right now is playing without any intentional plan of control. The players seem to play in a gung ho manner without any seeming plan of picking moments or slowing down the game or preventing teams from getting into certain areas. Playing this way will likely not get us very far. It might get us past other Sub-Saharan countries but it will surely fall flat once we meet any other opposition.
