The Nigeria Taekwondo Federation has announced the death of its president Abdullahi Saidu whose sad incident happened on Tuesday April 1st, 2025.
Saidu’s death was confirmed in a statement by the federation’s Secretary General, Rita Mosindi.
“The Nigeria Taekwondo Federation regrets to announce the passing of Alhaji Abdullahi Saidu, the President of the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation to the cold hands of death at the early hours of Tuesday, 1st April, 2025 after a protracted illness,” the statement read.
“The Taekwondo community worldwide has been thrown into mourning since the news broke out, his legacy and contributions to Taekwondo in Nigeria and the continent will forever remain in our minds.
“His remains has been buried according to Islamic rites in his home town of Birnin Kebbi, in Kebbi State. He is survived by his wife and children.”
