The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) is keen to retain the services of Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr with negotiations for a new contract set to commence next week, according to a top source in the Glass House, Completesports.com reports.
Rohr is currently into the last six months of his current contract and the NFF will only give the Eagles coach a new deal provided he is ready to accept all the conditions that will be stipulated in the new contract.
The 66-year old coach who can be approached by other interested parties between now and June is however, believed to also want to continue on the Eagles job that has seen him led Nigeria to a group stage outing at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and a bronze medal finish at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
“The NFF is ready to renew the contract of the Super Eagles coach but it certainly won’t be a loose deal like the previous one,” begins the NFF top source who craves anonymity.
“There are certain conditions coach Rohr must agree to if Nigeria must retain his services. The NFF want to ensure a better deal that will help the national team as well as the football development in Nigeria.

“We are definitely set for negotiations next week but the NFF is not going to compromise on certain conditions.”
Some of the conditions Rohr is expected to accept in the new contract stipulates he must be ready to reside in Nigeria to do his job as well as show more commitment to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The coach will also be allowed to travel on vacation only three times in a year while all his selections for the national team must be approved by the NFF Technical Committee.
Rohr who was appointed on a three-year contract in August 2016 has managed 39 games in charge of the Super Eagles with 22 wins, seven draws and 10 losses.

Mr Rohr is d Real man for our super eagle NFF ..keep him n super eagle will see d light at d end of d tunnel
Showing more commitment to the domestic league football will entail him inviting players (as imposed by the wicked and corrupt powers that be) that don’t not have anything to do with the national team and occupy space for better players doing extremely well abroad. You had better tell him to take a walk rather than come up with these nonsense conditions. Let odegbami and his group take up the responsibility to fix our domestic football, not lazying around and be spoiling someone else’s job. It won’t be a bad idea if odegbami is given the job of coaching the home based super Eagles team to develop our domestic football, abi him dy fear?? He can even invite yobo with no coaching experience to be his assistant. It will only take a miracle for Rohr to accept a renewal of his contract , dark days await us if he doesn’t.
Congratulations to coach Rohr in advance.
My advice to NFF. If you know that you can not get new assistant coaches and goalkeeper trainers for the manager, please do not renew his contract.
If you must retained Oga Rohr, Super Eagles needed young Nigerians coaches besides the French man.
Nigeria are blessed with a lot of new sensational vibrant and young talented coaches that will surpass coach Rohr record.
Coach Rohr have tried. It is for the NFF to compliments his efforts by putting Imama, Salisu and Aloy Agu away from the team.
What is the impact of retaining the manager will do for Nigeria without new stuffs?
*Super Eagles will not win anything.
*Nigeria will waste another years and money
*Super Eagles will keep having average players and goalkeepers in the team. Akpayi and Collins for example.
We have a very good and the most fearless goalie in Osage, why the coach refuses to make him no1?
Okoye is another keeper that have talent.
* The most experienced goalkeeper is Osegwe, follow by these golies
* Osagwe no1
*Uzoho no2
*Okoye no3
Akpayi has nothing to do in that Super Eagles team.
NFF please think deeply before you signed that contract with coach Rohr.
Our country come first and the love of our Nation should be first in our minds not coach Rohr. NFF, I hope a word should be enough for the wise. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
Garbage
@Omon9ja You just showed that you think like goat and sheep.
I wish you could think more………different flows everywhere
Omon9ja, you live in a fool paradise.
Grow up. You always think that you should be given the job of the Nigeria coach.
Perhaps, when you die and come back in another world, Omon9ja will then become a coach in Ikaja. Feel sorry for you.
After reading this you will agree with me what we have in the NFF are bunch of morons managing our football. Imagine saying every of his selected players will have the final approval by USELESS BFF technical committee. Very funny hehehe. From look of things Nigerians should expect Super Eagles falling bellow if they go ahead not to renew Rohr contract because he remain the best for now
What is there beef on the coach selection? Nff
I don’t understand that..
