Newcastle United are weighing up a move for Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface, reports Completesports.com.
Boniface has enjoyed an impressive start to life at Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen following his summer arrival from Belgian Pro League outfit, Union St Gilloise.
The Nigeria international has scored seven goals in seven Bundesliga outings for Die Werkself.
The 22-year-old has so far contributed nine goals and two assists in 10 appearances across all competitions for Xabi Alonso’s side.

According to The Sun, Newcastle United scouts watched him play in Portugal for Nigeria in the friendly against Saudi Arabia last weekend.
Boniface impressed in the game,
causing problems in the Saudi’s backline which forced an own-goal.
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe is keen on adding some physicality to his frontline and sees Boniface as a top target who would complement the likes of Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.
The striker won the Rookie of the Month in the Bundesliga this season in August and September.
He was named Bundesliga Player of the Month for August and is also in the running for same award in September.
