According to reports in England, Newcastle United are interested in Norwich City goalkeeper Jon McCracken. The 19-year-old was the Canaries’ third-choice stopper last season but many are tipping him to have a bright future.
The former Hamilton Academical stopper has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Premier League club and Newcastle are confident they can tempt him away from Carrow Road. McCracken has impressed while playing for Norwich’s Under-23s and reports claim Daniel Farke will let him leave for free this summer.
Newcastle face stiff competition from a number of rivals but Rafa Benitez wants more competition for No.1 Martin Dubravka. Rob Elliot, Freddie Woodman and Karl Farlow have all been informed that they can leave the club, paving the way for McCracken to make the move north.
