Ndidi’s Leicester Edge Walsall On Penalties As Chelsea, Man City Progress

Danny Ward was the penalty hero as Leicester City were 3-0 winners in the shootout after a 0-0 draw at League 2 side Walsall in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

Wilfred Ndidi was among the Leicester players that were not included in the squad for the Cup tie.

Although City couldn’t break through in 90 minutes against Walsall, three superb penalty saves from Ward booked the three time winners’ place in the fourth round.

At the Etihad, Manchester City edged Watford 2-1 with goals from Jeremy Doku and Matheus Nunes.

Tom Ince made it a nervy end to the game as he scored with four minutes left but City managed to hold on for the win.

Chelsea recorded the highest win margin as they thrashed lower division club Barrow 5-0.

Christopher Nkunku bagged an hat-trick and Pedro Meto also scored.
