Wiifred Ndidi has said he decided to sign a new contract with Leicester City after talks with manager Steve Cooper.
Ndidi was a free agent after his previous contract with the former Premier League champions expired at the end of last month.
The Nigeria international however penned a new three-year contract with the Foxes on Friday to put an end to speculations surrounding his future.

The 27-year-old revealed that Cooper played a key role in his decision to extend his stay at Leicester City.
“I’ve had a chance to speak with [Cooper]. I spoke to him during the holidays when he came in,” Ndidi told the clubs official website.
“He had some good ideas to share with me, so it was really, really, really amazing and I’m looking forward to working with him. He’s a great guy, he’s funny. I look forward to working with him, it’s very exciting.”
The 27-year-old arrived Leicester City from Belgian Pro League outfit KRC Genk in January 2017.

HE IS A LAZY PLAYER, NOT READY TO FACE TOUGH CHALLENGES AND PUT HIMSELF UNDER HIGH PRESSURE WITH HIGH EXPECTATION FROM FANS.
DON’T MIND HIM, HE JUST WANT TO BE COLLECTING & ENJOY HIS LESSER PRESSURE COOL MONEY.
At this stage of his career he doesn’t need to take such risk.Stay where you have great value.
He made the right decision
I think that there isn’t a lot of pressure on players in Leicester. How else can you explain a talented squad of players that were relegated from the Premier league and were able to bounce back immediately topping the Championship league. Even some of the players that left Leicester after relegation like Maddison, Barnes, Tielemans found clubs in top premiership sides, and others like Amartey, Söyüncü found top clubs in Europe.
This explains why (the lazy duo) Iheanacho and Ndidi stayed at the club. The coaching regime is less strict at Leicester than at other clubs. It explains why such a talented side was relegated and able to bounce back despite losing some key players.
He is stupid guy , he does not know his benefit , he only runs behinde money ; he should have joined great UEFA clubs like Barcelona, Seville, Juventus , Lyon , but he preferred a low and less club which can’t develop his football career then can’t develop his national team , this is now a problem of Nigerian player in Europe he always chooses and prefers low and less clubs than to aspire to play at great clubs , so this made Nigerian player on low standard …
Ndidi has to improve his game next season because he has the quality. Very few midfielder have his quality.
