The Phoenix Suns have signed Tyus Jones to a one-year, $3.3 million deal, hoping to position him as the team’s main point guard.
According to ESPN, Jones expressed his readiness, noting that the deal was the best move at this stage in his professional basketball career.

“The chance to play for the Phoenix Suns made the most sense on a lot of levels for me and my family—starting with the way Mat Ishbia and the front office recruited me to how Coach showed me how I can significantly impact a team that has a real opportunity to challenge for an NBA title as their starting point guard,” Jones told ESPN.
Jones averaged 12 points, 2.7 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game for the Washington Wizards last season. Before joining the Wizards in 2023, he represented the Memphis Grizzlies for four years.
The 28-year-old is set to become the main point guard for the Suns, with Bradley Beal and Devin Booker poised to play in their natural shooting guard positions.
