Napoli have announced the signing of Mexico international Hirving Lozano, who has joined from PSV Eindhoven for a reported €42million. The length of the contract signed by the 24-year-old has not been disclosed, but he becomes Napoli’s ninth major signing of the summer, joining the likes of Kostas Manolas and Alex Meret in arriving at the Stadio San Paolo.

Lozano has joined Napoli following three successful seasons with PSV, where he scored 45 goals in 83 games, while he has also netted nine times for Mexico at international level and represented his country at last year’s World Cup.
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis confirmed the transfer on social media before the club released a statement welcoming their newest recruit to the club.
“?Napoli makes the definitive purchase of Hirving Lozano from PSV Eindhoven. Lozano was born on 30 July 1995 in Mexico City,” the statement read.
The frontman could now make his Napoli debut when the Partenopei get their Serie A campaign up and running with an away trip to the Stadio Artemio Franchi to take on Fiorentina on Saturday.
