Nantes have carried out their threat to lodge a complaint with FIFA over Cardiff’s non payment of the first part of the Emiliano Sala transfer fee.
The two clubs have been at loggerheads over the £15m fee, with the French demanding payment as per the schedule and Cardiff saying they want to wait until the investigation into the plane crash is completed.

The deadline to pay the first installment had been put back until February 26 but, having received nothing, Nantes have referred the matter to FIFA’s Dispute Resolution Chamber.
In a statement, a FIFA spokesperson said: “We can confirm that we have received yesterday (Wednesday) evening a claim from FC Nantes against Cardiff City in connection with the transfer of Emiliano Sala.
“We are looking into the matter and consequently we have no further comments at this stage.”
