Congratulations Remo stars, go on and win the super 8 trophy, to make up for losing the league to Eyinmba. Cement your status as a new super power on the block in Nigeria football.
This man should be the next Flying Eagles coach if the NFF knows what they’re doing. Himself and Fidelis Ilechukwu look like a coaching partnership that can take our U20 and U23 national teams to places.
Both clubs are the benchmarks of how clubs should be run in Nigeria deviod of political influence. It is high time government privatized all the clubs in Nigeria.
Both clubs owners are billionaires in their own right and understood the business side of football club business. The owner of Remo stars is the owner of betnaija and Valuejet airline while the young owner of sporting Lagos made his money from selling his Fintech app.Theu both own clubs in Portugal and Denmark respectively.Excellent training ground and facilities,Excellent youth set up that is a conveyor belt for producing talents for the main team while others are sold to clubs in Europe and these are really young players.Ogunmodede himself spent about 2 seasons in Portugal as an assistant coach with the owner’s team. From players sales, developing and grooming younger players in their academies, Branding merchandising,TV rights,Gate takings, prize money with excellent players welfare, those two clubs have set the direction for other Nigerian clubs to follow.Silent Nigerian billionaires should be encouraged to form or buy over existing clubsides. You can imagine Dangote taking over Kano pillars, Otedola takes over 3Sc, Allen oyema of air peace takes over Rangers,Indimi family in Borno takes over El Kanemi,Rivers United by an oil mongol in the area, etf. You can imagine what our league will be like. Remo stars played in the confederation cup last year and this year have already qualified for the champion league. They both have played established Nigerian teams and either defeated them or held their own.Any surprise why they are both in the final?
Spot on Sporting Lagos is coming with huge statements. Indeed Remo and Sporting Lagos have brought a new standard of running a football club aside this chairman and village primitive ways that has always failed us. The best coach will win today but don’t I will be Rooting for Sporting Lagos as a Lagos Born.
