Manchester City goalkeeper Arijanet Muric is reportedly being lined up by Nottingham Forest. Kosovo international Muric played back-up to Ederson last season in the absence of injured Claudio Bravo and the 20-year-old made five League Cup appearances as City went on to lift the trophy.
However, with Bravo set to retake his place on the bench after returning to fitness, Muric will be bumped down to number three and is now set for a loan spell away from the Etihad Stadium. A host of Championships clubs are said to be interested in acquiring his services for the 2019/20 campaign and Forest are believed to be leading the race for his signature.
Martin O’Neill is looking to bring in some competition and reportedly travelled to Bulgaria on Monday with goalkeeping coach Seamus McDonough to see Muric in action for Kosovo. A season-long loan deal could be wrapped up in the coming days.
