Ashleigh Plumptre has expressed her happiness after making a return to action following a lengthy injury layoff.
The Super Falcons defender went under the knife in April after sustaining an injury on his right foot.
The injury also forced her to miss out of Nigeria’s squad to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Plumptre returned to competitive action for his Saudi club Al-Ittihad against Al-Ula last weekend.
The 26-year-old was introduced in the second half with Al-Ittihad winning the game 1-0.
The former Leicester City star took to the social media to share her excitement.
“Hey, Etihad fans! I’m so happy to be back. Even happier with the win and the clean sheet,” Plumptre said in a post-match video. “Thanks for all your support.”
