Carthage Eagles of Tunisia is the latest big team to crash out in the group stage of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
Going into Wednesday’s Group E fixture, Tunisia needed all three points against South Africa to progress into the round of 16.
The AFCON 2004 champions surprisingly lost their opening game against Namibia before recording a draw with DR Congo.
It was not to be against the South Africans as the Tunisians could only settle for a goalless draw which was not enough to secure passage into the next round.
