A honourable player who is still playing well but decided to leave the stage for others to try their luck……While others who have always used the national team to promote their careers still clinge to the national team like baby sucking the mother’s breast……… They are Waiting for the younger generation of players to retire them by force according to some fans…….How many time did Magnone of AC Milan bench Loris before Loris honourably bowed out?…..How many times did Simon bench Victor Moses before Victor Moses honourably bowed out?……. Anyway I don’t expect honour from those who get their achievement in the national team through the dishonorable football system of a very corrupt NFF.
You are right bro and you are speaking my language because it’s only in Nigeria someone is age 60 years ago but he or she claims 20 years, simply he doesn’t want to retire because they never save for their old age. Like now, I am 50 years ago but the white man here in London, United Kingdom don’t believe me. The white are saying that I am lying of my age that I will be more than 30 years ago. God have a mercy on us in Nigeria.
I am proud that I am 50 years ago but I don’t worry about my future or old age because it’s settled by God’s grace, amen.
If our sport man or woman would use their real age, trust me, it has a future advantage and we all Nigeria don’t think of that.
God help us in NIGERIA, amen.
We need moses in the nest nations cup, he is 32 and still play in a top side, full of experience, he should join our scanty midfield if possible he should be maid to captain the team, the team lack leadership expecially in the field, musa and omeruo are leaders but they are not always playing, moses along side iwobi in the middle will inniciate creativity in our games,
Victor Moses will never stoop so low to return to the super Eagles because he does not and has ever needed the super Eagles to continue his career as a football player……it’s only players who need the super Eagles to remain relevant that will bribe their way back out of international retirement.
This is the player NFF and Gernot Rohr should have used all those resources they used on wasting time Petting Ahmed Musa. Vic Moses one of the Handful of Legends for SE in the 2010’s along with Obi Mikel and Emenike.
Victor Moses even stated it in his retirement speech that his wing has a lot of talent coming up from there and he wants to give them the chance to prove themselves…… Simon,Lookman,Kalu, Chukwueze,Dennis, and many more upcoming talented players are springing up who can handle that wing well in a major tournament then why stagnant their progress?
@AKP you miss my point my point is dating back to Rohr’s last legs in SE and Eguavoen’s stint pre AFCON and WC Qualifying all the efforts, emphasis and Importance put on Musa and Ighalo that period if that effort was targeted at Forcing Vic Moses out of retirement which is a normal practice in serious footballing nations the story would have been different for Nigeria. Victor Moses is a player known for carrying big/ star performances in title winning seasons e.g. Conte’s Chelsea epl wining season. Nigeria Afcon 2013 nigeria WC qualifying 2018 Spartak Moscow topping the group of death in 2021 europa league before russia Ukrainian war. A group that included Victor Osimhen’s Napoli and a strong Leicester City at the time. Nigeria first needs to do a better job at identifying where our strengths lie. This is a big problem Nigeria seems to have til date not knowing where our strengths lie.
