Aaron Mooy has paid tribute to former Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner for making his Premier League “dreams come true”. Mooy has been one of the Terriers’ stand-out performers after joining from Manchester City in 2017.
He appeared to thrive under German coach Wagner at the John Smith’s Stadium and played a big role in helping keep the club in the top flight in their first season amongst the elite.

This season has not gone to plan, however, and Town find themselves bottom of the pile with just 11 points on the board so far.
Relegation appears to be looming and Wagner departed on Monday with results poor, but he has earned plenty of plaudits for the job he did – with Mooy the latest to pay tribute.
He wrote on Instagram: “I will be forever grateful to David for offering me the chance to join Huddersfield and believing in me. He made my childhood dreams come true of playing in the Premier League so thank you so much and all the best for the future.”
