Turkish side Genclerbirligi have signed Montpellier forward Giovanni Sio on a two-year deal. The 30-year-old Ivory Coast international has been unveiled by Genclerbirligi after holding talks with the Ankara-based club over the past few days.
Sio was on the lookout for a new club this summer after being told he had no future at Montpellier following a loan spell with Ittihad Kalba in the United Arab Emirates last season. The former Wolfsburg, Augsburg, Sochaux, Basel, Bastia and Rennes forward is reported to have moved for around 600,000 euros and will hope to kick-start his career in Turkey.
