Liverpool midfielder James Milner says he will do all he can to pass on his experience of winning the Premier League title.
The Reds’ vice-captain has lifted the trophy on two occasions in the past, both with former club Manchester City. Milner is now trying to frustrate the Citizens as he aims to steer Jurgen Klopp’s men to their first Premier League success.
Liverpool face a huge test on Sunday when they welcome Tottenham to Anfield but Milner insists he is ready to pass on his experience during the crucial final few weeks. He told the club’s official website: “Hopefully, that’s my job. Unfortunately I’m one of the older guys, if not the oldest guy, now and it’s important that you do that and help the guys out.

“Just play football, just keep doing what we’ve been doing. That’s the main thing: that we go out there and keep putting in performances, keep the intensity high and don’t get caught up in everything else, the hullaballoo that’s going to be going on outside. “The dressing room’s full of top-class talent who put a lot of pressure on themselves to perform, so it’s just down to us to concentrate on what’s going on inside that dressing room and carry on.”
