Napoli are poised to hand Arkadiusz Milik a new contract extension until summer 2021 as he prepares to make his comeback from a muscle injury.
The 25-year-old Poland international, who moved to Naples from Dutch side Ajax in a €35million transfer in August 2016, has been absent for the Partenopei this season because of the issue.

However, after Milik sat out of Poland’s international fixtures during this ongoing two-week break to work on his fitness, boss Carlos Ancelotti is hopeful of having him fit for Saturday’s Serie A match against Sampdoria.
In an added boost, reports in Italy are suggesting that the former Bayer Leverkusen and Augsburg man, who has scored 34 goals in 87 appearances in three knee injury-hit years at the Stadio San Paolo, is set to pen a new contract.
The summer arrival of Fernando Llorente has added some pressure on Milik this season, but he is expected to remain a big part of Ancelotti’s plans.
