AC Milan are set to test Arsenal’s resolve to keep Lucas Torreira as they prepare to make an offer for the midfielder. Torreira has only been with the Gunners for one season and impressed under Unai Emery following his move from Sampdoria.
The Gunners do not want to lose the 23-year-old so soon but reports in Italy say Milan are preparing to make an offer that could test the Londoners’ desire to keep him. Newly-appointed Milan boss Marco Giampaolo knows Torreira well from their time together at Samp and he hopes the lure of working with him again may turn his head this summer.

Another carrot possibly being dangled in front of Arsenal is the fact Franck Kessie could be used as part of the deal and he would arrive at the Emirates as a ready-made replacement for Torreira. Kessie has attracted the attention of
Arsenal in the past and Milan may be prepared to lose the Ivory Coast international in order to get the Uruguayan. Torreira has recently given an interview where he admitted he has struggled to adapt to life in England, further fuelling speculation he could be set to depart the Premier League.
