AC Milan are reportedly considering making a move for Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.
Marco Giampaolo has added six new faces to the first-team squad over the summer but it appears he is still looking to do further business.
He has been searching for a creative midfielder over the past few months and James sits at the top of his list of targets as time runs out.
Real are happy to let the Colombia international, who shot to prominence at the 2014 World Cup, depart with his opportunities at the Santiago Bernabeu set to be limited under Zinedine Zidane.
James is currently on the treatment table with a minor muscle injury but he is expected to be available for action in a couple of weeks.
He spent the past two seasons on-loan in Germany with Bayern and Milan are keen to take him on-loan for 2019-20 before wrapping up a permanent deal next summer.
