Coach of the Spanish national football team Luis de la Fuente has described qualification for Euro 2024 as an obligation and responsibility.
Spain defeated Norway 1-0 on Sunday, October 15 at the Ullevaal Stadion to qualify for the showpiece.
FC Barcelona youngster Gavi scored the lone goal of the game in the 49th minute.
In the post match conference, De la Fuente said he was glad to have qualified for the next Euros competition.
“Happy and content this team has been growing,” marca.com quoted De la Fuente as saying.

“We have been united and that shows. A lot of work has been done to get to this position. Qualification is an obligation and a responsibility nothing more.
“There will be something when we have achieved it. I am very happy, but the thing is balance. With this the time has come to talk and think about football. It is the best for everyone.
“It has been a matter of the entire team. centre-backs are growing more and more everyday. We not only have the three who played. There are more and very good ones.”
So far six teams have qualified for Euro 2024 (France, Spain, Turkey, Portugal, Belgium and Scotland).
The first time Spain clinched the Euros title was in 1964 when they hosted the showpiece.
Spain won the tournament consecutively in Austria/Switzerland 2008 and Poland/Ukraine 2012.
La Furia Roja (the Red Fury) are first position in Group A of the Euro 2024 qualifiers with 15 points from six games.
They still have games against Cyprus on November 16 at the Alphamega Stadium and Georgia on November 19 at the Jose Zorilla Stadium.
