Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi is interested in trying his luck in the Mexican Liga MX after terminating his contract with Turkey’s Trabzonspor.
According to beIN Sports, Mikel has several Liga MX suitors and the Nigerian is attracted to the idea of playing in a league as competitive as the Mexican one.
Mikel , 33, is currently without a club after terminating his contract with Turkey’s Trabzonspor when the coronavirus pandemic broke out in Europe.

The Turkish Super League was one of the few championships that refuse to stop soccer due to the coronavirus.
Mikel spoke against the decision to continue the season and later reached an agreement to terminate his contract.
The former Chelsea midfielder has been previously linked with Brazilain clubs, Botafago and Internacional.
