Barcelona star Lionel Messi will make the call himself as to whether he plays in the Copa del Rey clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The Argentine superstar picked up a knock to his thigh in the draw with Valencia at the Nou Camp last weekend, where he netted both Barca goals as they fought back from two down to get a point, and he has not trained all week.

Normally he would not be involved in a Cup tie but, because it is against arch rivals Real Madrid, then head coach Ernesto Valverde will allow the player to make his own call on his fitness.
Messi missed the clash with Real Madrid in La Liga earlier in the season with a broken arm so he will not want to miss out again but at the same time there are some big games looming so he will also not want to risk his own fitness, so Valverde will leave it to him.
